Lights In The Shadows – Heavy metal intro)! Very technical melodies. Gritty vocal edge. Epic arrangements. A very classic, catchy feel to the sound. Even some neo-classical hints, in places. This is pure melodic heavy metal, very much in the vein of Megadeth and Malmsteen. Absolutely consummate musical precision. A hugely contagious hook to this, taking that upbeat perfection right to the end).
Emerald City Suicide – Instant infectious melodies opening. Into a traditional sexy 90’s atmosphere. Sheer professional handling, with a well utilised wah factor, enhancing that entrancing sound. Adept scales and instrumental emphasis. A really neatly tailored track, with a lot to shout about. It’s a dazzling combo of sleaze, speed, traditional rock and pure, unbridled heavy metal. Such high definition to that closing drum roll.
Back From The Dead – Sharply electrifying riff intro). Straight into an all-out active drum rhythm, riding alongside those stormy lightning riffs. Sustained uplift and unquenchable drive. Taking those melodic scales higher and hitting the bass, in all the best places, while keeping the rumbling drum rolls going, till the end.
Overall – Fiery, frenetic and star-lit, all the way; a metal purist’s delight). If you like your metal fast and furious, with huge central melodies and infectious streaks, screamed from the rafters, then this is for you. As a 3 track album sampler, it’s a perfect creation of pure contagion, leaving you craving more.
